The midpoint of a segment is ((x1+x2)/2, (y1+y2)/2).
Examples
- The midpoint of (2,4) and (6,8) is (4, 6).
- The midpoint of (0,0) and (8,10) is (4, 5).
Key rule
The midpoint formula averages the x-coordinates and the y-coordinates separately.
