Divisor

Definition
The number by which the dividend is divided. In a ÷ b = c, the divisor is b. The divisor can never be zero (undefined).
Examples
- In -18 ÷ 3 = -6, the divisor is 3.
- Dividing by 0 is undefined — you cannot divide by 0.

The divisor can never be zero.
